Any excess energy is injected into the grid and compensated for a period of twenty years based on the wholesale market price at the time of injection.<\/p>\n<p>The new Law also provides for the possibility of collective self-consumption at the building level by implementing virtual net-billing,where at least two (2) self-consumers located in the same building can participate jointly in activities and regulate among themselves the sharing of the energy produced by their stations,without prejudice to applicable network fees and other related charges, fees, contributions and taxes.\nIn the virtual simultaneous offsetting, under the form of collective self-consumption, consumption by common users in buildings can also be included.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where can photovoltaic systems be installed by self-consumers?<\/strong><br \/>\nPhotovoltaic systems are installed on buildings (on the roof or the roof of a building), on veranda\/balcony canopies, on pergolas (on the roof or in an uncovered area of \u200b\u200bthe plot), on facades and sunshades, as well as auxiliary areas of the building, such as warehouses and parking lots, or on the ground, as well as in solar tracking systems installed on the ground.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Power limits<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the case of simultaneous netting and zero injection, the power of each generating station (in kWp) can be up to one hundred percent (100%) of the agreed consumption power (in kVA).<br \/>\nIn the case of virtual simultaneous netting, the power of each generating station (in kWp) can amount to up to one hundred percent (100%) of the installed power of all netted consumption (in kVA).<br \/>\nIn the Non-Interconnected Islands network, the following applies:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column us_custom_6992a78e has_text_color\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><strong>When is the metering and when is the netting between produced and consumed energy applied?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe metering of the generated electricity of the photovoltaic system, as well as the incoming and outgoing electricity from and to the Grid, is carried out simultaneously by HEDNO, during the existing metering cycle that governs the self-consumer's consumption installation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What applies to \u201cregulated\u201d charges?<\/strong><br \/>\nRegulated charges (\"ETMEAP\", System Use Charge, Network Use Charge, Public Service Charge and other regulated charges) are calculated on each consumption bill on the energy absorbed by the Network.<br \/>\nFor all the above cases, the charges for the Special Consumption Tax, the Special Fee of 5\u2030 of Law 2093\/1992 and VAT are calculated as each time specified by the applicable provisions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Performing simultaneous netting<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the case of simultaneous netting, the energy injected into the Network is compensated based on the Day-Ahead Market Clearing Price.For the sale of energy, the self-producer, as the owner of the RES or CHP plants, which are put into operation in the Interconnected Network, participates directly in the electricity market.<br \/>\nThe Operators to which the supplies and the RES or CHP station of the self-consumer are connected, communicate to the supplier, the self-producer and the Cumulative Representation Body of the RES or CHP Station, with whom the Synchronized Netting Agreement has been signed, the certified metering data as follows:<br \/>\nA) the Absorbed energy from the supply of consumption per Imbalance Settlement Period, reduced to the System\/Network limits, and<br \/>\nB) the Injected and Produced by the RES or CHP generation station per Imbalance Settlement Period.<br \/>\nThe Cumulative Representation Body, according to the metering data received from the Operator, calculates per Imbalance Settlement Period the monetary value of the Surplus energy from the station based on the revenues from market participation. The final settlement is carried out on a monthly basis.<br \/>\nSpecifically:<br \/>\nA. The Cumulative Representation Body pays the self-consumer, on a monthly basis, the monetary value of the total Surplus energy, summed up at the monthly level.<br \/>\nB. The supplier issues to the self-consumer electricity consumption settlement bills for the netted supply.In the account of the netted supply, the total Absorbed Energy is analyzed separately, which is charged in accordance with the applicable provisions regarding the supply of energy and the Supplier's current invoice for the netted supply.<br \/>\nSpecifically for the case of domestic self-consumers with a self-channeling system up to 10.8 kW, the Cumulative Representation Body is \"DAPEEP\".\nIf the invoice is issued in credit, the difference is credited to the self-consumer.
