The YPEN's program has been published. “I'm changing devices for business” which aims to improve the energy efficiency of businesses and reduce primary energy consumption and consequently carbon dioxide emissions by at least 30% for each business.
Beneficiary businesses will receive support to install energy-efficient equipment related to the following:
- Heating systems using heat pumps (including solar thermal systems to increase the efficiency of heat pumps and through heat storage)
- Solar heating systems
- Smart energy consumption measurement devices (behind the grid meter)
- Other energy saving interventions, through the installation of energy-efficient equipment and systems for energy saving in the production, storage, distribution of products, as well as the operation of companies.
Beneficiaries are existing enterprises (micro, small, medium and large) operating in the Greek Territory with a Greek VAT number, active on the date of submission of the application for participation and established by 31/12/2023. Each enterprise can submit only one application for participation and must have issued the A’ PEA (Energy Performance Certificate) or the Energy Audit if required based on the categories of expenses, upon submission of the participation application or within 20 days from the above date of submission of the provisionally submitted participation application.
The aid rate is set at 50% for very small and small enterprises with a maximum eligible budget of 20,000 Euros, i.e. the maximum aid amount is set at 10,000 Euros. Correspondingly, for medium and large enterprises, the percentage of aid is set at 40% with a maximum eligible budget of 25,000 Euros, meaning the maximum amount of aid is set at 10,000 Euros.

Eligible expenses are:
Equipment costs for:
- purchase of a new heating system using heat pumps
- purchase of a new solar heating system
- purchase of smart devices for measuring energy consumption (behind the network meter)
- other energy saving interventions
Service costs for:
- execution of the necessary additional work for the installation of the new equipment (e.g. cost of transportation, installation, parameterization of the new equipment (heat pump, solar thermal system, solar heating system, smart meter, etc.)
- issuance of two PEA, for the installation of the investment declared in the application
- implementation of an Energy Audit (before the start of the investment and subsequently, respectively the procedure for the PEA), only in the case where there are costs for other energy saving interventions
Maintenance and repair costs for equipment already used by the business, as well as VAT, are not eligible.
The equipment supplied must be modern, new, unused and owned by the company.
The starting date for eligibility of expenses is set at 21/2/2024, while the duration of implementation of the interventions cannot exceed 6 months from the approval of the application.
The application submission period is from 22/2/2024 until the available Program budget is exhausted and the evaluation of proposals is based on a first-come, first-served basis (First In-First Out).
